TENNACITY DUPR Ladder League

Looking to get more games in and meet new people? Our DUPR ladder leagues could be just the thing for you! Designed to give everyone a chance to play with and against different types of players, these leagues are a great way to assess your true DUPR rating, as all match scores will be logged and reported. Make sure to have your DUPR account set up before the start date.

TENNACITY has partnered with DUPR as our official ratings and ranking system, and the ladder leagues require players to sign up for both DUPR and the SWISH APP

This is a six week program, so you are committing to all six weeks. If you cannot make one or more of the weeks, please find a sub and let us know the name of the player subbing out for you. If you are unable to find a sub, please let us know no less than 48 hours in advance, so that we can try and find a sub for you. If you cancel there will be no refunds for cancellations.

Ladder League Format- There will be five people per court. Everyone will play one match with each person on the court and based on the results, people will be moving up and down on the courts from week to week. There will be five rounds on each court, where everyone will get four matches as well as a break. The courts will be available until the lights go out!

Age Limit: 18+ for all categories.

Skill Level Division: 4.0+

Please sign up for the appropriate skill level. You must have a 4.0 or higher DUPR rating to play on Monday nights, unless approved by the league commissioner. If you need assistance in determining your skill level please copy and paste the link below to learn more. If you are not above a 4.0 at the start of the league, and you sign up for Monday, we reserve the right to move you to the night for your DUPR rating category.

Pricing: $80 per player (charged weekly)

Disclaimer: The format may be altered depending on the amount of sign ups for each event. The goal is to get as many matches as possible in a competitive format.

DUPR and SWISH: Scores will be reported to DUPR through the SWISH APP. To be eligible for DUPR ratings, all players must sign up with DUPR and add their player number to their swish APP.

Cancellation Policy: The cancellation deadline for a full refund is September 28th by 5pm. There will be no exceptions. This is a six week program, so you are committing to all six weeks. If you cannot make one or more of the weeks, please let us know so we can try and find a sub for you. If players give us at least 48 hours notice, and we are able to find a sub for you, we will issue a club credit of $10 to your Tennacity account per session. Short of that, there will be no refunds for cancellations.

If a league night is cancelled due to weather or unforeseen circumstances, we will extend the league to an additional week and/or club credit may be issued through Tennacity. Thanks for your understanding!

TENNACITY Pickleball Ladder League Code of Ethics

Objective: The Tennacity Pickleball Ladder League is dedicated to fostering a respectful, competitive, and enjoyable environment for all players. This Code of Ethics outlines standards of fair play, adherence to court rules, and good sportsmanship that all participants are expected to follow. Violations of this code may result in warnings, suspensions, or removal from the league.

1. Fair Play

  • Equal Opportunity to Compete: All players must respect the ladder system and engage in competition without attempting to manipulate or bypass the ranking system unfairly.
  • No Cheating: Players are expected to play by the official rules of pickleball, with no intentional rule violations. All calls made on the court should be honest, and disputes should be resolved amicably and in accordance with the rules.
  • Respecting Match Outcomes: The outcome of each match must be recorded truthfully and submitted promptly. Any attempt to falsify results will result in penalties.

2. Adherence to Court Rotation Rules

  • Timely Arrival: Players must arrive on time for their scheduled matches. Failure to show up without prior notice may result in forfeiture and affect their standing in the ladder.
  • Court Rotation: Players must follow the established court rotation schedule and cannot skip or attempt to change their position without the permission of the league administrator.
  • Prompt Play: In the spirit of competition, players should engage in matches in a timely manner, without unnecessary delays.

3. Good Sportsmanship

  • Respect for Opponents, Staff, and Officials: Players must treat their opponents, staff, spectators, and officials with respect. Intimidation, aggressive behavior, and harassment toward anyone involved in the league will not be tolerated.
  • No Aggressive or Abusive Language: Players must refrain from using vulgar or abusive language at all times. The league is committed to creating a positive atmosphere free from verbal hostility.
  • Positive Attitude: All players should strive to maintain a positive and encouraging atmosphere during play. This includes celebrating victories with grace and accepting losses with dignity.
  • Conflict Resolution: Any disputes on the court should be resolved in a calm and respectful manner. If necessary, players can bring unresolved disputes to the attention of league administrators for mediation.
  • No Unsportsmanlike Behavior: Behavior such as taunting, excessive arguing, or intentional physical contact will not be tolerated.

4. Consequences for Violating the Code of Ethics

  • First Offense (Minor Violation): A verbal warning will be issued to the player, along with a reminder of the Code of Ethics.
  • Second Offense (Moderate Violation): The player will receive a written warning, and may face suspension for up to one week, depending on the severity of the violation.
  • Third Offense (Severe or Repeated Violations): A player who repeatedly violates the Code of Ethics or engages in severe unsportsmanlike behavior (e.g., cheating, harassment, intimidation) will be removed from the league.
  • Immediate Removal: Any act of physical violence, serious intimidation, vulgar or abusive language, or other forms of serious misconduct, as determined by league administration, will result in immediate removal from the league without prior warnings.

Commitment: By participating in the Pickleball Ladder League, all players agree to uphold this Code of Ethics. Our goal is to ensure an enjoyable, fair, and competitive environment where all participants can grow, improve, and enjoy the game of pickleball in a safe and positive space.
