Beginner Open Play with Coaching

Designed especially for beginners, this Open Play session offers a supportive and educational environment to help you ease into the game. Taking place on 2 courts, this program is perfect for those who want to build confidence, learn the basics of Open Play etiquette, and develop essential court movement and transition skills. A dedicated coach will guide players through the fundamentals of gameplay, provide personal feedback, and ensure that everyone gets individual attention to improve their skills. You’ll learn how to:

• Organize matches and understand Open Play court rotations.

• Transition effectively on the court during gameplay.

• Work with partners and practice good sportsmanship.

This session is a fantastic way to get comfortable with the game, meet other beginners, and gain the confidence to join regular Open Play sessions.

Details:

• Who: Beginners eager to learn and improve.

• Where: Courts 1a and 1b at West Hollywood Park.

• Capacity: Maximum of 12 players.

• Fee: $20 per session.

• Format: Games are played to 11 (win by 2). Coaching guidance provided throughout.

Additional Info:

• After signing up and paying the fee, your name will be added to a printed list at the court entrance. Initial next to your name upon arrival.

• Players are expected to respect all participants and enjoy the learning process.

• Cancellation Policy: Cancel at least 4 hours prior to avoid a non-refundable charge.

Rainouts will be automatically refunded. Open Play will be 3 days a week, some holidays, or special events may be "off days" and you will be given advance notice. A minimum of 6 sign ups are required. All players may book 7 days in advance.

Tennacity in collaboration with the City of West Hollywood reserves the right to modify and/or update the Pickleball Open Play information at any time. Courts may be reassigned to the general public on days when Open Play does not fill up to a capacity that demands usage of all courts.
