TENNACITY MAYDAY DUPR DOUBLES

Sunday May 4: DUPR Doubles Events

Entry Deadline: May 1, first come first serve

TENNACITY is hosting a fixed partners DUPR doubles tournament for Novice, Intermediate, and Advanced players. There will be lots of games in pool play, followed by elimination matches for the top teams coming out of the pool. We will have music, medals, and lots of fun.

Sign Ups: All players must sign-up with a partner. For the entry to be valid, both players must register and pay individually and list the other partner’s name in the special instructions section of playbypoint when checking out. If the draw for the division you would like to play in is full, there will be a waitlist option on play-by-point, and we will notify you if a space opens up.

ALL DIVISION START TIMES WILL BE POSTED SOON AND SUBJECT TO MODIFICATION

Official times will be published on Friday May 2 at 5pm. Players who sign up should remain flexible to play anytime on the tournament day.

PLEASE NOTE NO PLAYERS HIGHER THEN A 3.4 CAN PLAY IN THE 3.0 BELOW DIVISION AND NO PLAYER HIGHER THAN A 4.0 CAN PLAY IN THE 3.0-3.7 DIVISION

Skill Level Divisions: Men’s and Women’s doubles, Novice 3.0 and below, Intermediate 3.0-3.7, and advanced 3.7-4.6

Please sign up for the appropriate skill level. Players are welcome to play in higher levels, however higher level players who sign up for lower skill levels may be moved into the appropriate skill category. If you need assistance in determining your skill level please copy and paste the link below to learn more. We will be using the average rating for the team to determine the appropriate division.

POOLS: Teams will be divided into pools. See format section below for specifics. Events will be played all through the day

Location: Rooftop, West Hollywood Park.

Medals: Medals will be awarded (Gold, Silver, and Bronze) for the top 3 finishers.

Age Limit: 18+ for all categories.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

Tournament Ball: Franklin X-40

Tournament Format: The event will be a round robin format with medal matches. Players are guaranteed a minimum of 3 games. The format may be altered depending on the amount of signups for the event. Players and teams will play a game to 11 win by 2 against multiple teams/players. The two players/teams with the most victories will compete in the gold/silver final in 2 out of 3 game to 11 win by 2. 3rd and 4th place players in the round robin will compete for the bronze medal in a 2 out of 3 game to 15 win by 2. In the event of a tie, the team with the highest average point differential will advance. Doubles events are limited to 24 teams per division. (The scoring is subject to change depending on the number of entrants - we may allow for longer games with notably less entrants).

Officials: We will have officials for gold medal matches and staff on site to help with questions.

Draw size for these events are currently limited to 16 teams per division (subject to change). Depending on the amount of sign ups in the event we may be able to add players on the waitlist. If there are 8 or fewer players/teams in an event, we may alter the format.

Pricing: $50 per player

Disclaimer: The format may be altered depending on the amount of sign ups for each event. The goal is to get as many matches as possible in a competitive format.

DUPR: Scores will be reported to DUPR through the SWISH APP. To be eligible for DUPR ratings, all players must sign up with DUPR and add their player number to their swish APP.

Cancellation Policy: The cancellation deadline for a refund is October 2nd by 5pm. There will be no exceptions. If you cancel before the cancellation date you will receive a refund minus a $15 admin fee.

If the tournament is cancelled due to weather or unforeseen circumstances credit may be issued for future tournaments or rescheduling through Tennacity. Thanks for your understanding!
